A new venture

No one ever told me how crazy it would be with 2 children, a husband, a full time job and staying involved with my networking groups.  Not to mention staying in contact with my friends.  Man, this is a lot of work.  I give credit to those who have more than 2 children.  What do you do when the children outnumber the parents?  LOL.

As if I am not busy enough, I have started a new venture with Thirty-One!  Have you heard of this awesome product line?  If you haven't check out my website.  Seriously, this stuff is adorable and you can personalize it with your name, initials, fun sayings, whatever you want!  And the best part? It appeals to every generation, and literally everyone on my shopping list will be getting something from Thirty-One.

So, I am actively looking for hostesses to have a party.  Just look at all these amazing gifts you can get for free!  You can host a party and you and all of your guests can shop for those on their holiday lists in one night.  And as a hostess you might even score items on your list FOR FREE!

Now we aren't forgetting those that attend to your November party!  For every $31 they spend they can purchase a Littles Carry-all Caddy for just $1!  Seriously, just a buck?  You can't purchase a candy bar for a dollar these days.  And they make such cute gifts.  Attending a holiday party this season and need a hostess gift?  Place a mum or a bottle of wine in the caddy and voila, your gift is complete.  Need a gift for your child's teacher?  Pick up some office supplies and presto, a cute gift with a tote they can
re-use for school or at home.
The possibilities with this caddy are endless!

So let me know if you are interested in hosting a party.  You can host a book party at your place of employment if hosting a party at your home freaks you out!  :)

And my Thirty-One consultant set arrived today.  So I will share with you what I got and why I am so excited to share this with everyone I know!

Hope to talk to you soon!
XOXO

Flower Headband

So a few days ago I showed you the tutu that I made for my Little Princess.  Here I will show you how I made the headband to match.
I purchased a stem of flowers from Joanns and pulled them off the stem.

I then took apart the flowers so they would lay flat.
I then hot glued them back together by putting glue around the center of the flower.

I then measured my headband elastic to a headband that I had purchased at the store, since I knew that fit her head.
I sewed up the ends with matching thread.

And finally hot glued the flower onto the headband.

Ta-da!!
I also added a rhinestone in the middle to add some bling.

Isn't she adorable?!?! And yes, I know the flower is as large as her head.  LOL.

I made a sunflower one as well!

I think the next one I am going to make will be interchangeable so I don't have so many headbands and I will be able to use them on bigger headbands as she gets bigger.

Enjoy!

Tutu Cute!

I made a pink tutu for my little princess over the past week.
Here is how I did it:
I cut strips of tulle into 16 inch strips
Cut a piece of elastic to my daughter's waist and looped the tulle onto the elastic.  You can do this as loose or as tight as you would like depending on how many pieces of tulle you want to add.

Getting close to being done...

I hot glued on some rhinestones to bling it up a bit.
The finished product.
(I made the headband too.  Tutorial coming soon!)

Isn't it cute?
Here is the little princess sleeping through the photo shoot.

Hope you have a great day!

Coupon Book

Is anyone else obsessed with the Extreme Couponing Show on TLC?
I am just blown away by the amount of free stuff these folks can get.  While I am not interested in building up a $10,000 stockpile, I am a thrifty shopper and came across The Krazy Coupon Lady. If you watch the show you might remember her from dumpster diving for Sunday circulars.  Anywho, she had a great download to make a coupon book.

Me being the slightly OCD person I am, I was thrilled to see this beautiful organization tool.
So, I went to Target and purchased a binder and baseball card holder sheets and went to town.

Here are all of my coupons that I used to keep in either a plastic sandwich baggie or one of those expandable coupon holders.

Don't mind my random onion on the counter!  LOL.

A sample page

Coupons beautifully organized.

Well that's what I did a few weeks back.  Do you extreme coupon??

Budweiser Houseparty

I hosted my Budweiser Ultimate Backyard BBQ House Party on July 4th.  What a great time we had.

If you aren't signed up with House Party you def. should right now!  You have the chance to host parties and they send you great party packs to give to your guests.  This is the second party I have hosted.  Check out my first party here.

Anyway, here is our party pack.

Love this tray!

And our surprise flag cake.

I made this cake last year as well.
Luckily this year, I only had to bake the cakes and my BFF put it together.

I hope you had a great Fourth of July with your family!

Lexi's Nursery

My daughter's nursery is finally finished.
You might remember me showing you a preview of her bedding here
Well, here is Lexi's parisian themed bedroom...

Vinyl letter from DecalMonograms on Etsy.  Great to work with!
My Ikea frame that my mother's WONDERFUL boyfriend picked up for me.  He went 25 minutes out of his way to get it.  I couldn't be more excited about it!

My wonderful mother took my son's old mobile and turned it into this beauty. LOVE IT!!

Mini tissue poms are on top of the candlesticks I scored from Marshalls (love that place!)
Picture is from Farmhousefive Art for Kids.

The reading nook.  Don't you love that chair!  I found it at TJ Maxx last week!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Damask!

The A on the top shelf was made by my BFF!  It is perfect on that shelf!
Oh, BTW, the shelves are from Kohls and came with levelers on the brackets.
This made my hubby very excited!  He hates to hang things!

The dresser/ changing table and gorgeous mirror I also scored at Marshalls!

I am looking for a vinyl phrase to go over her closet, I just haven't found one that I LOVE yet.

Well, that's Alexis' nursery.  I am so thrilled with how it came out.
Hopefully she loves it too!

Have a great weekend!

Shopping at Walgreens!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

I don't know how many of you shop at Walgreens, but between their great sales and register rewards you would be foolish not to.  We are regular users of Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products Wal-Sporin (comparable to Neosporin) and Wal-Phed PE (comparable to Sudafed.)  These products are usually $2 or more cheaper than the national brands.  They also contain the same active ingredients that the national brands contain. I always buy store brand products because why spend money when you can keep it in your pocket!

Walgreens carries many products including Allergy Relief, Cough and Cold Relief, Pain Relief, First Aid and many more.  Just think, all these savings without having to cut coupons or search the weekly circulars!

Also, and important fact - Did you know that purchasing Walgreens Brand Health and Wellness Products support bringing preventive services to your LOCAL community through their Walgreens Way to Well Fund™?  That's right, local community!   So you can save money, receive quality products, and give back to the community!  That is just awesome to me. Walgreens will donate up to $3 million annually to the Walgreens Way to Well Fund™.  To learn more, log on to walgreens.com/waytowell

Many bloggers are offering Walgreens gift card giveaways giveaways through June 30.  So hop on over and enter their giveaways and then use that winning gift card to purchase your Walgreens Brand Health and Wellness Products!
