Thank you cards

So I finally got my Valentine's day thank you cards together and sent out. I tell ya, with an infant I can hardly get anything done let alone on time. Anyway, here they are...

They came as a set with the stickers, ribbon, and card stock. They are cutesy and simplebut still look like I put some time into them. Yay. Now onto St. Patrick's day...

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well it's Valentine's Day. This morning I made dried cherry almond scones with a recipe from FoodNetwork.com by Anne Burrell (recipe here). I am not the best baker, in fact I nearly burn everything. But these came out great! Not the best shape, but hey, one thing at a time!

The lovely boyfriend bought me those roses. Aren't they gorgeous? I love red roses and they smelled so great. We spent the day at the Home and Garden show at the IX Center. I loved the beautiful gardens the show had in the front. We were planning a romantic dinner with the baby at Mccormick & Schmick's Seafood, but they were booked solid until 9 pm. Maybe next time!

Instead we enjoyed this dinner!
At least I got to enjoy a glass of wine!
I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day with your loved ones.

Valentine's Treats!

Well it's the Friday before Valentine's Day. Yes, I made Valentine's for my son's class, mind you my son is 8 months old. I found a cute onesie at Babies R Us and made the cutest goodie bags for the kids. Luckily I stumbled across Strawberry Mum Mum's, they are for Toddler's but they are just round instead of long, so they are fine for infants. So the mum mums along with Monkey Valentine's in a Monkey Bag, and we were good to go!
Have a great day with your loved ones!

Wear Red for Women

I have the pleasure to coordinate our annual Wear Red Breakfast and Fashion Show every year. This was our 5th annual event which is a part of the National movement for Women and Heart Disease. I thought I would share our centerpieces and room decorations that my mom, my BFF and I created for the event. The dress forms were found at local TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Homegoods stores, and I think I visited every one on the East side of Cleveland. The smaller ones were made by local businesses and organizations that our hospitals works with. A huge thanks to Janet Flowers (weddingandevent.com) for their inspiration for this project!

Starting Again

So, I have been following blogs for a few months and I have decided to give this a try again. I follow blogs with thrifty shopping advice, decorating tips, and some crafty folks. I am an event planner for a hospital and a new mom. I look forward to sharing experiences with everyone and hope to get tips form others. Have a great day!
