Teddy's Birthday Banner

Just a little banner I made for the party.
I used scrapbooking paper and traced a regular Happy Birthday banner out for the letters.
It turned out great!!

Teddy's Seussical Birthday Party

I have been searching for ideas for Teddy's first birthday since December and went back and forth between Curious George and Dr. Seuss. Since we had been reading Dr. Seuss books to him since he was in my belly, I thought it was appropriate to continue with Dr. Seuss.
I have gotten quite a few ideas from Kara's Party Ideas and Giggles Galore. I can't wait until this coming Sunday to show all of the ideas I have thrown together! It will be the best party he will never remember. But we will all have fun.

I am going to make a scrapbook of this party with photos of everyone and have them write a note inside to Teddy. More on that to come this week.

Here is what I have been up to so far.

Tissue Poms from Design Dazzle

And the Birthday Banner.
A few more tasks this week and then it's party time! YAY!

Easter Eggs

So I am a bit backlogged on my blogging, so I apologize. This was our first Easter with our son, so I thought I would go all out and decorate eggs this year.
A woman at worked was talking about tie-dying eggs, which le
d me over to a great blog Our Best Bites
So I took a trip over to the Salvation Army and picked up some ties and when to work.

Here is how they turned out.
I really liked this one!

This one was fun too.
Not sure we will attempt this one next year. But it was something really fun to try!

Recyclable Carton Wallet

For Earth Day in March, my son's daycare sent home a paper requesting that you send your child in with a craft made from recycled materials. Well, what can a 10 month old really create except a caterpillar out of an egg carton, and that would even have been a stretch.
So, me being the overachiever that I am, created this wallet for him to share with the class. I googled recycled crafts, and found this one.
Needless to say everyone was super impressed, as was I!!

Diaper Cake

I love attending Baby Showers and somewhat feel like an expert now that I have a son. I now have a trademark gift that I bring to all my friend's showers. Here it is below...

Here are some of the goodies I put on the cake.

For the center I usually use a bottle, but I thought I would be "green" and use my son's empty Graduates Puffs container and fill it with Dark Chocolate. Hey, it's healthy right? And what pregnant woman doesn't crave chocolate!
And here is the beautiful Diaper Cake. It took a few extra diapers for this one, I think in total around 74 or so. I always use Size 1 diapers, though have contemplated using a bigger size so the mom to be can enjoy it a little longer.

Congrats Sinda~ I can't wait to meet Little Peyton!!

Where have I been?

Well, I have been up to no good! HA, I wish. We sold our house in 4 days and had to be out 30 days later. Mind you we haven't even started on our new house! So I had to document the fun times of our moving experience...

Almost packed up.

Picking up the UHaul.

And after 2 UHaul trips and 7 of my carloads and 5 of the man's...
We arrived and were pooped out! We have unpacked a little, so we aren't living like this!

Thank you cards

So I finally got my Valentine's day thank you cards together and sent out. I tell ya, with an infant I can hardly get anything done let alone on time. Anyway, here they are...

They came as a set with the stickers, ribbon, and card stock. They are cutesy and simplebut still look like I put some time into them. Yay. Now onto St. Patrick's day...
