Lexi's Nursery

My daughter's nursery is finally finished.
You might remember me showing you a preview of her bedding here
Well, here is Lexi's parisian themed bedroom...

Vinyl letter from DecalMonograms on Etsy.  Great to work with!
My Ikea frame that my mother's WONDERFUL boyfriend picked up for me.  He went 25 minutes out of his way to get it.  I couldn't be more excited about it!

My wonderful mother took my son's old mobile and turned it into this beauty. LOVE IT!!

Mini tissue poms are on top of the candlesticks I scored from Marshalls (love that place!)
Picture is from Farmhousefive Art for Kids.

The reading nook.  Don't you love that chair!  I found it at TJ Maxx last week!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Damask!

The A on the top shelf was made by my BFF!  It is perfect on that shelf!
Oh, BTW, the shelves are from Kohls and came with levelers on the brackets.
This made my hubby very excited!  He hates to hang things!

The dresser/ changing table and gorgeous mirror I also scored at Marshalls!

I am looking for a vinyl phrase to go over her closet, I just haven't found one that I LOVE yet.

Well, that's Alexis' nursery.  I am so thrilled with how it came out.
Hopefully she loves it too!

Have a great weekend!

Lexi's Bedding

I just realized that I never posted Lexi's bedding!

I was so excited when I received this package a few weeks ago...
And here it is...

It brought tears to my eyes I was so excited!

And here it is all set up.

We put the dresser together today and will be hanging pictures this week.
She will be here by May 25 unless she comes on her own before then.
Yay!  So excited to meet Little Baby Alexis.

Happy Sunday!

New Camera

So my wonderful hubby got me the Canon - EOS Digital Rebel Digital SLR Camera for Christmas.

We waited to get some expert advice from our niece who lives in CT and is really into photography.
We visited them over the holidays and I got a similar version to hers.
We ordered it on Saturday so it should come this week.

And to hold this lovely, I ordered this from Janine King Designs on Etsy.
I told you yesterday that I am obsessed with pink and damask!
Well that's all for today.  Can't wait to get my Christmas gifts so I can take some non-iPhone pictures.

XOXO

It's a girl

I am so excited to tell you that I am having a Baby Girl.
Anyone that knows me IRL knows that I LOVE pink and having been dreaming of a little girl for a long time.  I am also slightly obsessed with Damask print.
Here are some fabrics I am looking at for her nursery courtesy of Fabric.com

I can't seem to find black and white bedding with pink accents for a decent price, so my mom and I are going to try and recreate it.  Let me know if you have any pointers.

I am in love with Damask

While my grandparents were in town from Kentucky, they helped me hang some window treatments in our new home.  Thank goodness b/c the hubby HATES to hang anything!
Currently, I am in LOVE with damask.  While on a trip to Joann Fabrics my mom and I found this beautiful fabric which I thought would go perfectly over our kitchen window.  And boy was I right!

Here is a close-up of the fabric.  We added the beading to give it just something extra.

Isn't she gorgeous?  She makes me smile whenever I am in the kitchen.  Thankfully my Memau didn't mind making this for me, b/c lord knows I do not have the time.

Smiles!

Headband Organization

So, as our home is being built we are living out of boxes. It is truly awful and I can't find a thing.
As I went for my "go-to" headband the other morning, it had snapped from being stuffed in an old make-up bag!
So on my lunch break, of course, I googled headband holders and found this wonderful idea over at Joy's Hope.
What a fabulous idea!
Here it goes.

I took an empty oatmeal container, that luckily my mom had just finished, and pealed the label off.

I picked out some really cute pink damask paper to cover it with.

I put the paper around the container to make sure it fit, it took two 12x12 sheets.
We couldn't find the lid, so I thought I would make a paper cover for the bottom as well.

After it was cut, I applied Mod Podge, to put the paper on the container, then a thin layer over the paper and let dry for about 30 minutes.

And Voila!  A perfect headband holder!  Love it!
If I would of had a lid I would put my other hair jewels in there as well, but this will work perfect for now!

Have a great weekend!
