Wonder Pets Birthday Party!

My son had his 2nd birthday a few weeks ago and we did a Wonder Pets theme.
The party stores don't really carry anything Wonder Pets and I didn't want to order plates and things from an online store, so I used this Etsy shop.  She has also done a Wonder Pets party for her son.

Here are some pictures...
The cupcakes that my mom and I made

A mini fly boat with a wagon I had from a doll when I was little.

The flyboat cake that my wonderful best friend made.
Luckily I had the Wonder Pets figures from one of my son's toys.
The goodies pails for the kiddos.
Since his birthday is in May, I found some Easter items (chalk, bubbles, suckers, and balls) that weren't "Eastery" on sale so I picked them up for his party.
I just printed off the logo from Nick Jr's website.

The Ming Ming crudite

The weather was looking dicey, so we set everything up in the garage.

 The birthday boy.

The happy family!

We made capes for the kiddos out of plastic table covers and then glued the logo on the back.

It was a fabulous party!!

Where have I been?

I know, I know, I just get going on my blog posting away every other day or so, then I disappear.
Well, this time I have a great excuse.  My little princess has arrived!
Alexis Savannah arrived May 25 at 9:25 pm.  She was 8 pounds 6 ounces and 21 inches long!

 Little fingers...
 Little Toes...

We are still finishing up her nursery.  Since there was so much rain in April and May we weren't able to get everything painted so we are finishing that up and then I will show it off!

Have a great day!

Lexi's Bedding

I just realized that I never posted Lexi's bedding!

I was so excited when I received this package a few weeks ago...
And here it is...

It brought tears to my eyes I was so excited!

And here it is all set up.

We put the dresser together today and will be hanging pictures this week.
She will be here by May 25 unless she comes on her own before then.
Yay!  So excited to meet Little Baby Alexis.

Happy Sunday!

Mobile for Baby Lexi

So I have been getting things ready for Miss Alexis to arrive sometime this month.
I had some really cute fairies that my mom had given me a while back and thought they would make a really cute mobile over Lexi's changing table.
Aren't they adorable?
So I purchased some pink ribbon and a round wreath form from JoAnns.

I wrapped the ribbon around the wreath and secured it with some push pins.

Next I tied up where it will hang from the ceiling.  This was somewhat challenging to do by yourself!

Then I strung on the fairies.

Lexi's view...
The mobile needs a little something but I haven't found it yet.
Maybe once the dresser arrives next week and we start hanging the pictures on the wall it will come to me.

Hope you like it too!

Come and Knock on My Door!

So I finally finished a project that I started last week.
I purchased this H at Pat Catan's and a bag of moss from the dollar store.
I ended up not using the bag of moss because it looked too messy and I didn't like the look.
So, I found the moss mat and traced my H and made it that way.
It was a much cleaner look.

I love it!
I think it needs some flowers or something else, but it's perfect for now!
Yay, now if the weather would cooperate, warm up, and stop raining, we could really enjoy spring.

Rice Krispie Treats

I have never made Rice Krispie treats but I was determined to make them this year.  I searched for a bunny cookie mold tray to make these in so I could send these treats in with my son to daycare.  I can't believe how easy they were to make... why haven't I made these sooner?
So I would start them in the mold and then transfer them to the cookie sheet.
I used M&M's for the eyes and chocolate chips for the nose.

I had purchased the icing in the container which made it really easy to make the mouth.

I think they came out really cute!

I purchased some bags at Walmart and bagged them up.

Here they all are!  I need to add the little tags that say Hoppy Easter, but that's tomorrow nights project!
YAY, for fun treats for daycare.
I am so that mom.

I will be taking these in on Thursday.
Are you doing anything special for work or for your child this Easter?

My Green Works Houseparty!

I hosted by first Houseparty yesterday and it went GREAT!
If you haven't heard of Houseparty, hope on over there and sign up.  It's a great way to have friends over and test products that are currently or new to the market.
My party was a Green Works New to You Houseparty.

Guests were encouraged to bring something to exchange with someone else.
I purchased some green platters, bowl and cups to encourage the green theme!  I also picked up some Green Works All Purpose Cleaner.  This stuff is amazing, it really made my granite shine!

With the food - and my 8 month prego belly!
We lost power at 6 am that morning, so I had to run out and purchase cupcakes.  I was so bummed b/c I had bought green icing for the party. :(  I still wrapped them in my green cupcake liners!
Most of the attendees had heard of Green Works but didn't currently use it.
They sent us wipes to use at the party.  One woman had brought a cupcake pan and was amazed that the wipe got rid of the rust on the pan.

I did some comparing of pricing while at our local grocery store and we were all pleasantly surprised to learn that Green Works products are the same price or less than a normal household cleaners.
The wipes said good on any surface, so we tried them on my stainless steel range hood.
They worked great and gave it a nice shine.

It also worked great on my son's high chair and the wipes got rid of the spaghetti sauce stains.

All my guests also received laundry detergent and Burts Bees lotion as a thank you for coming.
We had a great time.
I can't wait to host another party.

XOXO
